jsonformattercheck.com (“we”, “our”, “the site”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The short version: we collect almost nothing, the JSON tools run entirely in your browser, and we never sell or share your data.

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use jsonformattercheck.com.

The JSON tools run entirely in your browser. Any JSON, JWT, JSONPath query, or schema you paste is processed locally via JavaScript and never transmitted to our servers. Your tool input never reaches our infrastructure — open DevTools → Network and you will not see a single request leave your machine carrying that data. Your theme preference (dark/light) is stored only in your browser’s localStorage.

jsonformattercheck.com does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We use localStorage (not cookies) to remember your theme preference between visits. This data never leaves your device.

Our analytics provider (see Section 3) sets first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors and maintain session state. You can opt out at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or clear all cookies and local storage by clearing your browser’s site data for jsonformattercheck.com.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate, page-level traffic statistics — which pages are popular, how visitors arrive, and which tools are used most. Google Analytics records page views and basic interaction events only; it does not see, capture or transmit anything you paste into a JSON tool. IP addresses are not stored or used for identification; only country/region is retained for geographic reporting. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features, cross-device tracking, or remarketing.

We use Google Fonts to load typefaces. When your browser downloads these fonts, Google may log your IP address as part of standard font delivery. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, session-replay tools, fingerprinting, advertising networks, social media widgets, or any other third-party trackers.

4. Data Retention

We do not store personal data on our servers. Standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp), if retained by our hosting provider, are kept for no longer than 90 days and are used solely to diagnose technical issues and mitigate abuse. They are not sold, shared, or used for advertising.

5. Children’s Privacy

jsonformattercheck.com is a general-purpose developer tool suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from any user, this service complies with COPPA by design.

6. Your Rights

Because we do not collect identifiable personal data, there is typically nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you have concerns, please contact us and we will respond promptly.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
